PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

  1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. (Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab.) Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.
  2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.
  3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.
  4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

        Comments about CamelBak TriZip™:

Awesome Pack. The multicam camo color is true. The yoke system is comfortable and adjustable, but the Pack Board Insert is missing. This is a new pack purchased from a dealer. I called CamelBak and the customer service rep acted like she could give a heck less because I did not buy direct from them. I will try to call CamelBak again on Monday to see if I can get one. Other than that it is going to work out fine. Go get yourself a Tri-Zip you will not regret it.

I used this pack on a Goruck Challenge 12 hour event. After getting dragged in the dirt, doing log pt, and moving 15 miles in high winds and flood conditions. The zippers held firm, straps never moved, and the padding stayed comforatable.

        Comments about CamelBak TriZip™:

I needed a tough pack to use for Search and Rescue calls, minimalist camping trips, fly fishing outings, day hikes, and any other time I needed to haul gear without being overloaded. I love the way you access this pack! I was worried the middle zipper would open up with hard use, but the pack stays secure. When I have something I need from the bottom just lay it on it's back, open it up and everything is right there for you to see. No more digging around blindly trying to find things. The interior mesh pockets are great for storing extra batteries, first aid supplies, toiletries, or any other small items you don't want rolling around in your pack. I added two Mystery Ranch exterior pockets to put my rain gear and snacks in for quick access. With the extra pockets I can easily pack everything I need for a three or four night trip into the Rocky Mountains. I have worn this pack while busting trail through scrub oak, cactus, and piñon trees without any signs of wear. I have gone through rock crags, lowered it down granite cliffs and it still looks like new. I love the new bladder! The way they designed the bladder and the access point on the pack makes for super easy refills and cleaning. I forget I have this pack on, it's that comfortable! There are two things I would change on this pack. First I would add some gear pockets to the front on each side of the waist strap. Secondly I would make the compression straps that go around the circumference of the pack longer. I have to route those compression straps under my extra pouches and can't tighten them like I would like to be able to. Two very small changes to a fantastic pack. I love this pack and would recommend it to anyone wanting a mid size pack that will last and works beautifully.

Make those two changes and this pack would be perfect! ( five stars )

        Comments about CamelBak TriZip™:

Got this pack about 8 months ago mainly because I needed a more spacious and efficient platform for my outdoor excursions. I have used this pack from everything from a four day backcountry hike in the Grand Canyon (the New Hance Trail awesome hike), to my volunteer SnR calls, to boulder outings at my local spots.

Overall, I have been very pleased with this pack. The customizability of the pack is astounding, add a few MRE MOLLE packs and nearly double the carrying capacity for long outings. The removable waist strap and a MOLLE pouch make a great outing pack on long multi day hikes. Thanks to gut zipper, as I call it, setting up climbing routes or finding those pesky small pieces of equipment that sink to a bottom of a pack, like carabineers, is an ease. Furthermore, the spacious interior and MOLLE system give more than enough space to carry a couple hundred feet of climbing rope or jury-rig a climbing pad to the outside. The insulated inlayed side pocket, I was not originally a big fan of, because it expands into the main interior area depriving that space of cu. Inches. But I have found the insulation will keep a frozen steak cold for 6 or so hours, depending on the weather conditions. The open ended top is great for a dry sack liner for rafting and does not retain much water thanks to drip hole at the bottom. The comfort of the pack up to 45 – 55lbs is good and the back liner prevents from awkward gear poking you in the back. Also, being 6' 7" the adjustable back plate was one of the major draws and I was not disappointed by it, the pack fits me like a glove. Finally, the omega water beast water reservoir is amazing. Much better quality than the standard camelback bladders and the dust cover is very convenient.

The only qualm I have had with this backpack is the MOLLE strap setup. The side straps are not the proper width for some MOLLE gear and the lack of straps on the top pouch deprives you of a useful clip in point. Also the logo on the top pouch is pretty unsightly and a pain to remove.

Overall, if you spend enough time outdoors or in the field to justify the cost of this pack, you will enjoy it.

        Comments about CamelBak TriZip™:

Great back pack. Easy to customize the fit. The pack feels a little heavy empty. Once I load it up and on my back with all straps properly adjusted for weight distribution, I don't notice the load until I get past 35 lbs. I do 8 to 16 mile hikes on weekends and don't feel hot spots anywhere on me. The highest load I've packed was 45 lbs. The load feels tight and you feel balanced even when running. When I'm in the city, I usually remove the waist belt so the pack looks sleek and more urban. If out with family I might keep the waist belt in the pack just incase.

        Comments about CamelBak TriZip™:

I've hiked several days a week in mountainous terrain all year for several decades and used many different daypacks. This is the best yet, a superb pack. Extremely comfortable adjustable harness. Relatively heavy, but feels lighter on back due to excellent engineering. Aftermarket Molle pouches can be added to convenient access to gear - binoculars, snacks, handgun, GPS, etc. - without the need to unsling pack. Relatively expensive but worth every penny for serious users.

Excellent assault pack. Was great in the field for RTO use with SINGARS. Also loaded with 80lbs of plates for ruck marching and holds up great. Enormous water load and lots of pockets to store stuff. 100% pleased as an 11B.
