PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab. Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.

 2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.

3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.

4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

I used to ride my bike with a backpack and tossed a Camelbak bag into the bottom of it with the hose sticking out from the zipper. The bag would slosh around and cause my backpack to get thrown left and right with every pedal. Bottom line, very uncomfortable and inconvenient.

I picked up the Rogue not too long ago and I couldn't be more pleased. I've thus far used it twice, short bike trips of about 10 miles, and I would've forgotten that it was there had I not been drinking the water. When the chest strap is clipped, it is completely secured to my body such that it doesn't move whatsoever. No sloshing either, the compression aspect of this bag works perfectly! Although it is a smaller bag, I am able to carry everything I need with no shortage of space whatsoever. Keys, phone, wallet, knife, inhaler, several snack bars, and obviously two liters of water. I haven't cleaned it yet, but I have taken the Camelbak out of the Rogue and put it back in, both with ease. I highly recommend this to any cyclist, even runners! If you normally have a water bottle on the frame of your bike, get rid of it and buy this! You get more water which is always easily accessible due to the nozzle being located right next to your mouth at all times, but never too close and bouncing off your chest/face.

The female half of the sternum strap fell off in the woods just weeks after purchase of the pack due to poor design. But to make matters worse, Camelback doesn't offer this as a replacement part on their website. This is completely unacceptable. So now the pack is completely useless. Last camelback product I will EVER buy. I also own an Osprey brand hydration pack, and they are a hundred times more accommodating than Camelback when it comes to replacement parts, repair, etc. Camelback has lost me as a customer for good, and I will no longer recommend them to any of the folks in my running and mountain biking clubs.

Comments about CamelBak Pure Blue Rogue Backpack:

I cycle between 14 and 20 miles a day. Using a water bottle I had to stop to drink and so I looked for an alternative. I decided on the now, Camelback as it appeared to meet my needs. I can now drink on the move and get a must better ride with greater fitness benefit.
It is very comfortable to wear. In fact, most of the time I forget that I have it on still thirst strikes me. It is then so simple to take on small or large amounts of water. Small and often is my preferred approach.

Comments about CamelBak Pure Blue Rogue Backpack:

I prefer carrying my water in a backpack when bike riding. This is perfect for 20 - 30 miles rides and I like the ability to carry a little extra in cooler weather. This is my second Camelback. I've tried others but they have not figured out how to make a mouthpiece that doesn't leak. No problems with this product.

I live in Southern California and wanted a way to stay hydrated on day hikes. beach bays and sailing trips. Rouge is perfect for these activities due to its lightweight, minimalist design.

AT times I wish it had more pocket space to hold more items. I can comfortably fit my wallet, keys, cell phone, and energy bars in the pockets.

Comments about CamelBak Pure Blue Rogue Backpack:

I have always loved Camelbak hydration systems and this is my 4th one. The new cap design is horrid. The different sized tabs have to be lined up just right and if they are not the entire thing starts leaking. I'm considering buying a competitor's reservoir as I like the actual bag.

This is the worst cap design ever. It leaks almost immediately. I even bought a replacement bladder and the same thing ripped off twice. I guess after using Camelbak products for over 20 years I am going with a different brand. Another good company that wants to survive on a name and do no more R&D.

I use my camelbak to stay hydrated at outdoor concerts. My friends and I like to get really close to the stage and standing around in the sun for hours can easily dehydrate you, having a camelbak filled with water really makes things easier.
