CLEANING THE PODIUM® CHILL BOTTLE
The Podium® Chill Bottle is dishwasher-safe and easy to clean. Remove the cap assembly, making sure the Jet Valve™ lockout is open, and place it with the bottle on the top rack of your dishwasher. For best results, we recommend avoiding high-heat settings such as 'sanitary clean' or 'heat boost' which may distort plastic components. We don’t recommend forcing a brush or other cleaning tool through the Jet Valve cross-slit (i.e. where you drink).

Please note that the Podium caps are primarily composed of two components: the Jet Valve™ and the silicone nozzle. To wash the cap by hand, pull off the silicone nozzle and wipe cap with a soapy sponge. Rinse thoroughly and snap the nozzle back on. Do not disassemble small parts of the cap Jet Valve. Disassembly of the plastic cap could lead to leaks or product malfunction.

I find that the Podium Chill bottle is the best yet by CamelBak. I live in Florida and the summer temps. are on the rise.I fill my bottles with ice to the top then add my water or G-juice etc. On a 96 degree day it will keep my drink cold for about 2 hours. Or you can fill it up with water and freeze it so it will last longer, but I'am not for sure if you do this it would be covered under warranty. They hold up well and the valve is a lot easier to clean than the older model.

I am not enthused at all with the new bottle design. The older version had a much better layout. The older version would allow you to take a bump without it being so slick in your hands with or without gloves compared to the newer version. I am a cyclist so dropping a bottle is the last thing I should be worrying about. I cannot comment on other activities like camping and so on but I would imagine if your feet were tripped up & this was in your hand it would be there for long. The new larger bite valve also is quite slippery and is a huge disappointment. When moving bottles from the front to the rear cages trying to hold the newer version with your teeth is a real pain compared to the older version with the smaller rubber piece. I also am not thrilled with the so called insulation. This bottle allows water or your drink of choice to warm up like any other plastic bottle. You can freeze part of your drink but in reality it will be warm if your are out over an hour exercising. I have bought multiple bottles from CamelBak. Including all the chill models. I say either put out a quality product or keep going down this route, the marketing eventually will catch up. there is nothing unique about these bottles.

Glad I purchased this on sale. I feel the bottle does not insulate well. Lots of condensation on the bottle. Ice melted quickly. Top is not one handed use friendly.

Comments about Podium Chill 21 oz - Discontinued by CamelBak:

Have the older version of Chill. Has been a great water bottle. Bought the mudcaps separately since I do a lot of commuting, especially in the rain. Disheartened to hear the mudcaps are no longer available. I do not understand why, unless not enough people new they were available. A once perfect bottle has now becomes less than perfect.

This bottle goes with me almost everywhere. It is on my backpack on business trips, I take it to the gym, and it is a staple item on mountain bike rides. The insulation reduces sweating when I'm carrying a cold drink in my backpack. the lid stays secure and water tight even on planes as they reach altitude. I like the valving on this, so I can grab a quick drink without having to pull up the stopper top on most bottles or unscrew a lid while on the go.
