M.U.L.E.®

Secure and stabilize your hydration system almost anywhere using external attachment points.100% free of BPA and BPS.Holds your electronic media such as a digital camera or video equipment in a secure but convenient location.

There’s a reason this is one of our bestselling, longest-running packs: it’s got everything you need, and nothing you don’t. The M.U.L.E.® has a narrow-gauge design that keeps it light and maneuverable—so even when it’s fully loaded for a day of mountain biking, it won’t get in your way.

Since we launched the first M.U.L.E. in 1996, mountain bikers have been telling us that it hits the sweet spot of size vs. storage: it’s lightweight, but big enough to carry three liters of water and a day’s worth of snacks and gear. Over the years, we’ve also added air channels to keep your back cool, plus clever compartments for stashing tools, keys and electronics.

PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab. Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.

2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.

3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.

4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

    Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E.®:

I first had the origianl M.U.L.E. I found it much easier to remove and refill the bladder. I don't care for the rear entry for the bladder.
I carry tools and noticed them getting rusty. Turns out condesation forms because I put in lots of ice, the original M.U.L.E. was insulated on all sides. I use styrofoam sheets to try and insulate the bladder. CamelBak can do better on this front.
I feel it is built nice enough. although I have a tear in the webbing fabric (don't know how that happened). the shoulder straps are much more comfrotable than the original M.U.L.E.
I also wish the bottom straps were removeable.
a compartment for a phone on the shoulder strap would be a nice touch.

This backpack is awesome. I can fit all my stuff in there for mountain biking, including my helmet. There are plenty of pockets and places for storage. Including a safe place for your phone. Water stays cold all day. Definitely the pack to get if you want to store all your needs in one place.

        Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E.®:

I had an older Mule which broke and just got this year's model as a replacement. It's almost perfect except that it doesn't have any interior zip storage. My wife has last year's Luxe pack and there is an interior zip pocket. She also has the Helena backpack, and again there is a small interior zip pocket for small, loose items. Why not provide one in the Mule? In every other way, this is a perfect pack.

          Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E.®:

Great all around pack! This is my 4th Camelbak pack. I still own the Trail Blazer, nice pack for hiking, too bulky for biking. Also still own the Lobo, love this pack also, great for biking, but pockets and storage are limited. The MULE is exactly what I've been looking for! I can fit several extra layers of clothing, food for a full day, multi tool, flashlight, my GoPro camera with 3 or 4 of the mounts, extra tube and bike tool. The reservoir is large, easy to fill, and access.
Overall highly recomended, best hydration I've ever owned.

This pack is comfortable, cool looking, useful, and made by the best biking pack companies. If you bike every month, every week or everyday, this is the pack for you. It is made of a nice material that wont tear or snag, and the straps are solid and wont fray. It will also carry around an extra tube, a pump and anything else you might need on a ride. Most importantly though is that it will hydrate you all day long. Fill it up, put some ice in it, ride, dry, repeat.

              Comments about CamelBak M.U.L.E.®:

Got this as a Xmas present, upgrading from a smaller Camelbak model.
Initially thought would be too big but the larger size has been great as it provides heaps more options to carry stuff.
I've now got tools, pump and jacket all packed away tidily in one location, keeping my bike nice and light.
Plus I still have plenty of space if I need for additional stuff like tubes, poly prop etc.
