RACEBAK™ CLEANING
Machine wash cold delicate cycle, line dry. Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not iron.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

  1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. (Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab.) Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.
  2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.
  3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.
  4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

Cons

Best Uses

Comments about Men's RaceBak by CamelBak:

It fits snug and is comfortable. However, I wish I could move the bladder to the bottom of the jersey, it would be awesome as a low rider version! I use it for less than 3 hour MTB rides since my bike has a bottle cage mount under the frame only. So not using water bottles unless I shove them in my jersey pockets.
The zipper pull broke off after 6 rides. I am working with CamelBak on a warranty replacement, will let ya know how it goes! Zipper still works, it is just difficult to pull closed... my stomach doesn't make it much easier either... :) Working on that though.... that is why I ride!! :)

Comments about Men's RaceBak by CamelBak:

I have never tried a CamelBak before. I was very skeptical at first. But after a 36 mile mountain bike ride in the high mountains of CO, I am very impressed. True, it may be a bit much for short rides, but for long rides, it works wonderfully. I have a close friend who recommended it to me. This friend used the RaceBak for two consecutive Dirty Kanza 200 races, and swears by it.

Best Uses

Comments about Men's RaceBak by CamelBak:

almost there, pack sits too high on shoulders and has no storage for tools. I, and most people i know, quit using camelbaks years ago and went to bottles and taped because nobody wants to ride with a pack on a ride shorter than 2 hours (90% of most people's rides). people want a low profile, easy way to carry water and basic tools without having to carry a heavy, cumbersome pac.
