PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops: use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab. Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.

Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.

Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow. These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

Comments about Fourteener 24 by CamelBak:

Bought for 3 grandsons and myself for day hikes. The bladders are hard to fill, if you don't get the threads just right they leak from both the bladder and the valve. Young boys can't do this easier. The opening to fill is very small and hard to get water and ice into. The bladder condensation builds up so bad the whole bag is completely soaked very quickly. I was not impressed at all. Walking around with a wet back the rest of the day was not fun.

The mesh back is falling apart after 6 months use. I rely on this pack every weekend. Camelbak will not warrant based on pictures - I have to send it back which is not an option as I need a pack every weekend.

Comments about Fourteener 24 by CamelBak:

I use this product for all of my day hikes and overnights when hammock camping. I have used this pack on several occasions and you would be surprised at how much it holds and how well it will stabilize gear no matter how much you pack. I tried several packs until I found this one and I am glad I did. I have carried 15 to 20 lbs in this pack for 7 miles at a time between stops and it honestly feels like an extension of my body. I really don't have to tell anyone how great the reservoir is if you have done any research. It is the best on the market hands down. I would recommend this pack to anyone.

I have taken this pack out on several hikes so far (~3-6hrs so far) and I'm really enjoying it. It fits pretty good, I'm a larger guy (6'2" 255lbs) and it rides very comfortably on my back and the ventilation system works well also. Insulation is very good, I fill my bladder with ice then water, stays cold all day long. Lots of room to carry all your essentials. You could even probably get away with using this pack for an easy overnighter.

Comments about Fourteener 24 by CamelBak:

First time I tried using, water leaked from reservoir onto clothes inside pack. When I checked further I found reservoir leaking from main cap and from tube connection. Luckily I found this out before leaving home. I switched the new reservoir to an old camelbak reservoir. The pack was comfortable and worked well with the old reservoir.

Comments about Fourteener 24 by CamelBak:

This is the best day pack i have had so far. I am an adventure tour guide so i go over many different styles of terrain from Mount Katadyn to the slot canyons of Zion. This pack has been with me for all of those and still surviving. I love the fact that the Hydro compartment is separate from the rest of the compartments, it makes it easy for the quick release to refill water. Plenty of loops to attach gear, I have also altered the left hip belt to hold binoculars and a camera case along with having a knive holster attached behind the pocket of the right hip. Perfect all around, with great support. I wish you guys would make a backcountry hiking pack with simialar specs because I would definetily purchase one.
