      Comments about CamelBak Ergo HydroLock™:

This value works great, but i would like to see it harder to separate from the hose. If the value or mouth piece gets hung up and you keep pulling, either one will fall off. I have lost both pieces and had to get replacements. If you are hard on your gear than order extra HydroLock valves and mouth pieces. I don't think there is better hydration system on the market.

        Comments about CamelBak Ergo HydroLock™:

I've had this on my Omega reservoir since about 2009. Never leaks, easy to open/close one-handed, repoints the tube so it's more comfortable to drink from. The angle makes an especially big difference when cycling, but I like it while backpacking/hiking too. When I forget to close the valve I often end up wasting water (it drips on my camera as I chug along downhill!), so it's obvious to me that this little thing is worth the small cost.

              Comments about CamelBak Ergo HydroLock™:

I have owned several Camelbak systems, but the same thing keeps coming back. The right angled ergo hydrolock always drips from where the yellow lock off switch is, so you end up with liquid dripping all down your front from where the bitevalve hangs down. It needs a rubber "o" ring or something like it to form a complete seal in order to stop the thing from dripping. I have stopped using juice in it and now only use water otherwise I always end up with a sticky mess down my front. It wouldn't take much to re-design the thing in order to form a better seal. My Camelbaks are brilliant apart from this small problem.

                  Comments about CamelBak Ergo HydroLock™:

The fit between the Big Bite Valve and the Hydrolock valve is not as tight as I would like. Had to use a tiny zip tie for security.

For use in subfreezing conditions, an insulating sleeve on the tube from the Camel Back is a good idea, or wear the camel back under your jacket and run the tube under the sleeve to your wrist. Blow air back into the tube after each drink to prevent freezing of the mouthpiece. Yes, it make you look like a hunchback or a camel but you can blow past the feed stations without breaking stride and take your refreshment whenever you want.

                  Comments about CamelBak Ergo HydroLock™:

I've been using this for 3 years so far and it's done the perfect job to hydrate me in the 110 degree weather down Grand Canyon and much more! What's great is that you fill your pack and nothing leaks out! You get everything to the very last drop! The rubber does get worn though and after some use you will have to replace it. Enjoy and happy hydration!
