CLEANING THE EDDY INSULATED The eddy Insulated bottle can be easily cleaned with a bottle brush using warm water and mild soap.

CLEANING THE LID The bite valve, straw and lid can be cleaned in the top rack of the dishwasher or by hand with warm, soapy water. Pull off the bite valve and straw from the cap. If you like to use a bottle brush, we don’t recommend forcing a brush through the Bite Valve slit. If you have the brush kit, run the small brush through the straw.

For a deeper cleaning, add a drop of mild soap or tablespoon of bleach to a clean glass jar filled with water. Drop the bite valve, straw and cap into the solution, and tightly close the jar’s lid. Shake the mixture around for 30 seconds, and then let the parts soak for about 15 minutes. Rinse and shake dry.

TO RE-ASSEMBLE THE LID Flip the stem collar (the component the bite valve attached to originally) to the open position. Orient the bite valve so the finger tab points towards the front of the cap. Push the bite valve firmly onto the stem collar. Press the straw back into place on the bottom of the lid. Ensure the straw covers the notches completely.

I thought this insulated bottle would solve all my problems but I love it anyway (turns out I am too demanding). This bottle does not keep water/ice cool any longer than a disposable water bottle. I felt like the bottle was empty after I took one big sip so it is best used indoor where you can refill it often. 600ml is not a whole lot. The best thing about this bottle is the no condensation on the outside. Other bottles will have a puddle of "sweat" under the bottle but this one is safe to put on paper. I say it's fun to use because the rubber opening is soft and smooth and it causes me to drink more which is good

After using my standard Camelbak everyday for 4 years, my husband surprised me with this one! I never had an issue with my old camelbak (even though I used it everyday, traveled with it, dropped it, etc). After using this eddy for just a few months, it started leaking badly. I would make sure that the lid was screwed on tightly, put it in my bag (completely upright) and half the water would leak out leaving my bag soaked. Recently, when I have picked it up off the table to take a drink it will spew water all over me at the exact moment I bite down on the mouthpiece. I think the issue may be in the cap or under the mouthpiece. Sadly, I think I may have to buy another standard.

    Comments about CamelBak eddy™ Insulated:

I carry my water bottle with me almost everywhere. I love the insulated component...when I add ice, I no longer drip all over the place.
I really wish the mouth piece would last longer. My current lid is 14 months old, and it will not lie down, it drips in the car when the sun shines on it. It did not do these things when it was new.
I will buy another one, but I am on the lookout for a different water bottle that meets my needs.

    Comments about CamelBak eddy™ Insulated:

I am currently in school and I always bring my Eddy Camelbak with me. I am from Sacramento, CA and it can reach up to 106 in the summertime, so the insulation was perfect for me to bring along ice-cold water and have it stay cold with melting to a minimum.

I am a college student so I always have my water with me and at my desk! This water bottle is great because it doesn't leave wet water rings on my desk therefore not getting any of my papers wet. Not gonna lie it does have some sweating when I fill it with LOTS of ice but that's understandable. Other than that I love it and by far best water bottle I've ever brought!

I love this bottle! It's insulated so it doesn't sweat all over my books and I like the color. It doesn't spill unless you don't close the lid rid and then it's an easy fix. However, I've had mine since Christmas and in June I noticed some sweating. I was quite disappointed, but the Camelbak Lifetime Guarantee is going to replace it so no complaints here! I think it was a problem at the seal between the insulating layer and the bottle.

                    Comments about CamelBak eddy™ Insulated:

After misplacing the stainless steel version of this bottle twice, I eagerly ran into my local sporting goods store hoping to purchase another. However, they didn't have the steel one, and I reluctantly purchased this plastic version instead. After reading the other reviews, I was concerned about mold, but as I use my bottle for only water, this was never an issue for me. What I don't like, though, is: 1) it's much harder to flip up the bite valve with one hand than the previous Eddys I've owned, and 2) it doesn't keep my drinks cold very long at all. In the steel bottle, I could count on ice lasting a good 24 hours, but ice lasts barely 2 hours in this bottle. While it doesn't sweat, it provides very little actual insulating power. I'll be purchasing the stainless version for the third time today, and I suggest you do the same. They're really not comparable at all - the steel version is far superior.

This bottle is not that easy to clean as I thought. It has mold all over the mouth pieces and in really hard to reach places. The rubber pieces that are moldy are not supposed to be removed but there is mold inside. After reading reviews I'm going to try a pipe cleaner.

I have owned two of these waterbottles. The first I lost and immediately replaced with another Eddy. These are great waterbottles. As some have mentioned, the mouthpiece can develop mold/debris, but if you clean it, it's no problem.

I purchased this water bottle after being a long time fan and owner of several other Camelbak products. My husband and I backpack during most of the year and have never had anything poor to say about this brand until I purchased this water bottle. It leaks when you fill it up and it leaks when you lift to sip. Don't purchase this water bottle unless you want to win a wet t-shirt contest!
