PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab. Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.

2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.

3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.

4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

The pack is unstable when running. I added a second, lower strap across the front. Now it works great.

            Comments about CamelBak Dart™:

Went for a 13 mile training run for my first time out with it. Took about a mile to get the straps where they were comfortable and the pack didn't move. I wouldn't say you don't notice it's there, but it's comfortable and I was glad to have it long the way. I would say that it slowed down my pace by about 15 sec/mi.

I'd like to see a second, lower strap for a bit more security and comfort. I'd also like to see the full Antidote pack and not a trimmed down version. The one that comes with the Dart doesn't have the drying arms, or the quick-connect. I'd pay a few extra bucks for these features.

The pack has plenty of storage and is built to last. Overall - great minimalist product.

                Comments about CamelBak Dart™:

Tried this for my first 1/2 marathon training when I got into the double digit runs. This pack is very comfortable and it is just the right size for those 8-12 mile runs. The zippered pocket on the back is great for keys or a phone. The pouch on the strap will hold two energy gels.

This pack is a must if you want hands free, comfort and light weight. It stays in place nicely and after a while you do not realize its on. It truly made my first 10 mile run enjoyable.

                Comments about CamelBak Dart™:

I use this pack trail running in the SF Bay Area. Easily holds my wallet, power bar, whistle, emergency shelter, and keys. I attached a pocket to the shoulder straps to hold my cell/GPS. I previously used a Camelback fanny pack, but this has completely replaced that. Carries about the right amount of water for an couple hour run. I really like the feel (or lack thereof) and don't bother with the waist strap.

The only improvement I'd suggest is addition of a small GPS/map pocket on the shoulder strap. But overall I love this pack. Highly recommended.

                Comments about CamelBak Dart™:

I really wanted this to be the right product for me. The pack is slim, minimal, lightweight, easy to use. There is storage for cell phones, snacks or gel packs, mp3 players, keys, wallet - all of the essentials. There is a chest strap that fits and work well. However, I found this pack while searching for a hydration unit for middle to long distance running. That is how it is categorized and advertised. After 2 miles of running I had to stop and walk home. The pack bounces all over the place! What it really needs is a 2nd strap at diaphragm level. It's practically unusuable for running as it is now.
