PACK CLEANING
We recommend wiping your pack with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If the pack is extremely dirty and needs a deeper cleaning, soak it in cool or warm water with a very mild soap. Rinse the pack thoroughly with cool water. If soap residue remains in the fabric, it may create suds if exposed to water or sweat.

DO NOT wash your pack in a washing machine. Machine washing may damage the pack or affect the integrity of the fabric and fasteners, and will void the Got Your Bak™ Guarantee.

RESERVOIR CLEANING
The best way to care for your reservoir is to clean and dry it after every use, especially if you fill the reservoir with anything other than water. However, if a reservoir has not been cleaned after every use, and mold or discoloration develops:

  1. Use hot water and a CamelBak Cleaning Tablet. (Or use 2 tablespoons of baking soda or bleach instead of CamelBak Cleaning Tab.) Mix the solution inside your reservoir and elevate the reservoir above the tube and Big Bite Valve. Pinch the bite valve, allowing the solution to flow into the drink tube and fill the bite valve.
  2. Let the reservoir and cleaning solution sit in the reservoir and drink tube for about 30 minutes.
  3. Wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. Be sure to completely rinse away the cleaning solution in the reservoir and drink tube before using again. You can also use CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and drink tube. Brushes are the best way to ensure you are scrubbing all of the areas of the reservoir clean.
  4. Once the reservoir is clean, be sure to air dry overnight so no moisture is trapped inside, which can cause mold to grow.

These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If there are still spots left behind, these are permanent mold stains that may not be removable. However, your reservoir is still safe and usable after you’ve cleaned it.

              Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

I needed a new water bottle and I thought that the Camelback Ambush would supply my needs.
The bottle when removed from the Ambush pack is simple, convent, and fitted well into my larger back pack. The Ambush worked out well also for a good jogging and alpine bag. However, after eight months of hiking usage, 2 to 4 days a month, the lid and water seal is failing to seal.
So for 100 plus dollars and 20 to 30 times of usage I have to say that Camelback is "not worth buying."

              Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

I use this hydration pack every day while traveling around Europe. It is perfect for carrying my travel documents, maps, electronics, snacks and water. The design is extremely versatile and high speed, low drag. If your military unit allows you to use one I'd definitely suggest it. If you're just a civilian that wants a day's worth of hydration and enough cargo capacity for the bare essentials, I equally recommend it. My only suggestion would be to add padded straps, as this military design is geared more towards being put on load bearing equipment and body armor than standalone wear.

              Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

This pack is awesome hands down, what I like most is the build quality and the size of the pack. The size allows me to put the pack into a larger 35L backpack with no issues what so ever. The color is great I have it in the coyote color and it's awesome. The pouches are great too for storing any type of gear. But keep in mind if your trying to cary a good amount of gear then you should get the mule. Other than that this pack rocks highly recommend it!

I use this as an everday carry pack. I'll typically have my Walther PPQ and two additional magazines in the top storage area and an IFAK (among other things) in the lower portion. Consider it the perfect active shooter response system.

                Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

This is the second one of these packs I bought. We use them mainly for bicycle touring. We can carry enough to stay out all day comfortably.

My daughter's has padded straps and mine doesn't (new version). This pack is so light it does not need padding on the straps. We have swapped packs and there are no notable differences.

                Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

I used this daily at Marine Corps OCS and we took them everywhere we went. It held all of the small things I could have needed like rolls of tape, small scissors, markers, stencils, a glow belt, notepads, and other various things. We also used them during PT and it held up very well. The bottom compartment can hold a lot, and there are small pockets inside. There is also a compartment on the flap thing that also holds a lot. Anyway, I was really disappointed when we turned them in a few days before graduation because I felt like I was missing a part of myself.

Without hydration my blood gets sticky, and I feel my heart is pounding harder with supraventricular tachycardia. With this camelbak product these symptoms are gone. Straw needs some better attachment system to harness.

                  Comments about CamelBak Ambush™:

I climb trees for a tree service company in northern California. Our summers are usually around 110 F. This pack lets me stay hydrated and pack a lunch for the day.I take this to work in the woods every day and I always have it on when working fires. I can climb with it all day and don't even notice it on my back. It is a very tough pack, I put mine through a lot of abuse. The hose stays tucked up nicley on sholder strap for when I'm running a chain saw or climbing threw limbs. It also keeps my water cool even in the hottest weather, this is hands down the best hydration pack I have ever bought.
